The Artspace Ambassador program is composed of dedicated community members who share a passion for supporting Artspace’s mission of providing subsidized studio rentals, exhibitions, community events and art education programs. Artspace Ambassadors assist our team by offering event support, helping to spread the word on social media, and donating.

Summer Art Program Volunteers

Artspace is seeking Volunteer Teaching Assistants for our 37th annual Summer Art Program! Volunteer general duties include assisting instructors and students with art projects and supplies, classroom setup + clean-up, and monitoring children during breaks and lunchtime.

All interested applicants (including current Ambassadors) must complete an application and background check to be considered for this opportunity. Deadline to apply: May 4

Special Volunteer Opportunity

Artspace is seeking volunteer art installers to support the installation process of FRESH from August 19–September 2.

Responsibilities may include safely staging and moving artwork under staff direction, organizing packing materials, assisting with basic installation tasks, maintaining clean work areas, and helping with artwork labels and final gallery preparations. Volunteers should be comfortable working on their feet, carefully handling artwork, and providing light physical support throughout the installation process. No professional installation experience is required. Our team will provide guidance and direction.

This is a great behind-the-scenes opportunity to learn more about exhibition installation while helping Artspace prepare our galleries for the community!

Artspace Ambassador Expectations

  • Volunteer at least 10 hours a year
  • Share Artspace’s promotional details on social media and help build the hype on our exhibitions, programs, and artist opportunities
  • Undergo a background check if you plan to volunteer during our youth arts education programs
