ARTIST STATEMENT:

“The world amazes me; the creation of our world and its astonishing natural beauty has found me tongue-tied. The nature is such a wonderful creator, and there are so many wonders on this planet of ours. Its frail, fleeting beauty has me worried at times. I love to try to capture it, I feel I am trying to hold on to its beauty, and hoping we are going to turn back time and stop all the damage we are doing to this planet of ours.

The other thing I am most intrigued about is the wide variety of people I come across. The faces I see around me all seem to be telling stories of their journey & it amazes me how unique we all are from one another. I try to capture this difference when I draw them. By doing so, I feel I know them personally, and that their faces talk to me. I find it a mystery of why we are created a certain way. Although being same human beings, how many varied shapes, color, demeanor we all are. I kind of feel very lucky and excited about our uniqueness, and try to capture it as a form of record. I, in my own way, feel I am holding their memories through my art, and this is why I create them.”
