Born in Venezuela and now based in Raleigh, North Carolina, MARCO RODRIGUEZ LINARES is a contemporary minimalist artist whose work explores the relationship between simplicity, order, and the complexities of human emotions. His artistic journey began in childhood through painting, sculpture, and writing, early creative practices that established a lasting interest in visual expression and the ways art can communicate ideas and emotions beyond words.
After spending nearly a decade in Oklahoma, Marco eventually relocated to Raleigh, where he became engaged with the region’s art community. His practice has evolved into a contemporary minimalist visual language rooted in geometric forms, balance, proportion, and intentional space. Through the use of geometric shapes and restrained compositions, Marco explores how structure and simplicity can create a sense of balance and tranquility. His work invites viewers to slow down, step away from the visual and emotional noise of everyday life, and experience moments of stillness and reflection.
Marco’s work has been exhibited at venues throughout North Carolina, including the North Carolina Museum of Art, where his work has been featured in its local art programming; Diamante Arts & Cultural Center as part of the Herencia exhibition; William & Company in Raleigh; Oberlin Regional Library; GreenHill Center for NC Art in Greensboro; and The CoLab in Raleigh.
