DELAYNA ROBBINS, also known as A Colorful Chaos, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work reimagines Contemporary Afro-Surrealism as a space for love, connection, and ancestral storytelling. Through vibrant colors, layered textures, and dreamlike compositions, she explores themes of Black identity, memory, and emotional resilience.
Her series, Colorful Family ARTchives, serves as a bridge between generations, reimagining family photographs through an Afro-Surrealist lens. By blending personal and collective histories, Robbins creates work that honors the past while envisioning a future where Black stories are preserved, celebrated, and deeply felt.
Through surrealism and lived experience, she invites viewers to reflect on their own roots, fostering a sense of connection, healing, and belonging.
