Stacia Patin is primarily a watercolor artist who is captivated by the fluid and serendipitous nature of watercolor pigments. She has a particular passion for painting with the wet-on-wet technique, creating soft ethereal impressions of nostalgic places she’s been based on her own photography or painted en plein air. Her curious spirit also leads her to explore other mediums like acrylic, oil, pastel, charcoal, and even a bit of bookbinding. Whether it’s a landscape painting, floral piece, portrait, or pet portrait, Stacia loves to create vibrant art that expressively captures the essence of her subject matter.
Stacia has been based in Raleigh, NC since 2018. She has strong roots in Northern California, living in Santa Rosa and San Francisco for most of her life. She studied visual arts at BYU, minoring in psychology. However, she ended up started a career in marketing in 2011, painting as a hobby occasionally. She really started growing her passion for painting again in 2020 as a way to decompress from the isolation of that time period.
