Saturday, November 9 will be a spectacular night out on the town to celebrate the breadth of art and artists in North Carolina at our inaugural Art Bash!

Art Bash 2024 includes gallery exhibitions, private and live collecting opportunities, art experiences, and gourmet bites. Honorary co-chairs Colony Little, art writer for Walter Magazine, and Debbie Robbins, painter and art collector, are curating an extraordinary auction and event! The featured exhibit is FRESH, Artspace’s singular biennial group show of North Carolina artists.

Meet our Honorary Co-Chairs

Colony Little

Colony Little is a freelance arts writer and critic based in Raleigh, NC. She became a writer in 2015 after a 20+ year career as a commercial technology underwriting manager for Chubb Insurance in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. She is the creator of Culture Shock Art, a contemporary art blog dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black artists and artists of color. Colony was a 2020 recipient of the Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant and was a member of the 2022 cohort of the MHz Curationist Critics of Color residency. Her writing is featured in Art Basel Magazine, Artnet, ARTnews, Arts.Black, CARLA, Cultured Magazine, Hyperallergic, The Art Newspaper, W Magazine, and Walter Magazine. She has also written numerous museum exhibition and artist catalog essays. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and currently serves as a board member for CAM Raleigh.

Debbie Robbins

Debbie Robbins has spent decades supporting local art organizations, including Artspace and VAE. Her background is in interior design which influences her own art. She generously donates many of her pieces of art to auctions to help raise money for their events. Debbie received her B.A. in Interior Design from UNC-G.

She is a former board member for Visual Art Exchange, a member of Raleigh Fine Arts Society, and a former board member for the UNC Rex Cancer Center on Art committee.

Tickets go on sale September 1, 2024. // Enjoy a night on the town at Art Bash! Your ticket includes access to gallery exhibitions, live musical performances, private and live art bid collecting opportunities, immersive art encounters, and complimentary drinks and delicious bites all night long. Individual Tickets are $150.

Become a Friend of Artspace – Contribute $500 and receive 2 tickets to Art Bash. Friends of Artspace are recognized on event signage, event materials, and throughout the event.

Audience

Join up to 400 fellow art collectors, studio artists, makers, and visionaries in support of North Carolina creativity in our historic building in downtown Raleigh. From rising stars in tech industries, leaders of growing businesses, and corporate CEOs to emerging and master artists, and the individuals who support them – we will unite at this spectacular party to connect artists with our collecting guests.  Through social media, the audience expands across the Triangle with 17,000+ followers engaged on our Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube channels and 65,000+ unique website visitors annually.

Fundraising Goal

With a goal to raise $100,000, proceeds will help ensure people of all ages, cultures, and abilities have the opportunity to create, learn, and explore meaningful art experiences: from summer art camp scholarships, one-of-a-kind youth and adult classes, Connect + Create family workshops, to our visual artist residencies, mobile art bus, and more, your support makes possible the joy, creativity, and connection the arts offer across the mosaic of communities in our area.
