Meet our Honorary Co-Chairs
Linda Shropshire Eudy
Linda Shropshire Eudy has spent decades as a collector and advocate for the arts. She is on the Board of Trustees for the NC Museum of Art and serves to steward the museum’s permanent collection as a leader of the art acquisition team. As a member of the Black Trustee Alliance, Linda spends time in a national collective community of museum and gallery leaders, ensuring museums and institutions create more space for Black artists and those who are traditionally left out of the art history narrative. Linda studied at NC State University, UNC Chapel Hill, and the Sotheby’s Institute of Art. As a former leader for corporate social responsibility and human rights for a Fortune 100 company, she brings both a passion for art and business acumen to Ella West Gallery, which she recently founded in Durham.
Liza Roberts
Liza Roberts, author of Art of the State: Celebrating the Visual Art of North Carolina, is an art and culture journalist who first learned of the extraordinary world of art in North Carolina as the editor and general manager of the award-winning Walter magazine, which she founded in 2012 and grew with a talented team of colleagues. The idea for a book about the contemporary art and artists of our state came when she tried to find a book on the subject and learned that there wasn’t one. She is a graduate of Hamilton College and has a masters degree from the Columbia University School of Journalism, and serves on the NC Museum of Art Foundation Board of Directors.
