YANA SLUTSKAYA is an award-winning fine art photographer and visual artist based in North Carolina, USA. Her work draws deeply from the drama and symbolism of European art traditions—especially the 17th-century Dutch Golden Age, Baroque, and Renaissance—infusing each composition with theatrical elegance and timeless emotion.
Inspired by masters such as Francisco de Zurbarán, Rachel Ruysch, Clara Peeters, and Judith Leyster, Slutskaya channels the chiaroscuro, floral opulence, and quiet intensity of their paintings into her own medium. Her still life tableaux, floral compositions, and self-portraits echo the visual language of classical painting while remaining rooted in contemporary resonance.
Guided by a pursuit of enduring beauty rather than fleeting trends, her photographs invite reflection, reverence, and emotional intimacy. A member of Professional Photographers of America, she regularly contributes to juried exhibitions and solo showcases across the United States and internationally.
Her work has been featured at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Cameron Art Museum, Research Triangle Foundation, Sotheby’s International Realty, 311 Gallery, Campbell House, Truist Gallery, Art in Bloom Gallery, ArtFields Festival, Cary Gallery of Arts, Page-Walker Arts and History Center, and numerous local and international photography festivals and competitions, including Click! Photography Festival, ReFocus Awards, and the International Photography Awards. In 2025, she was named one of the Top 50 USA Photographers by the prestigious 35AWARDS.
