First Friday is celebrated on the first Friday of each month throughout Downtown Raleigh to showcase the best of our city’s creative community. One of the founding organizations behind First Friday, Artspace opens its doors from 6-10pm every First Friday.
First Friday is always free and open to everyone!
March First Friday features:
- Mom exhibition with work by Andréa Keys Connell in Gallery 1
- Shape Language exhibition with work by Maria Frati in Upfront Gallery
- BIG INK past works in Gallery 2
- Meet and shop with our 30+ studio artists
- All-ages art activity in the Learning Studio, 6-9pm
- Live music by XOXOK, 6-8pm
- Printmaking demo by Zaire Miles-Moultrie, 2025 NC Emerging Artist in Residence in Gallery 2
- Connect with the organizers behind the Griot & Grey Owl Black Southern Writers Conference and learn about upcoming events
- Take our 2025 Community Survey and enjoy a free treat!
