JOHN CAHOON is a NC born artist. He focuses on a sense of disbelief and whimsy. From an illustrated book all about the fairy world that he originally illustrated and hand-wrote for his daughter, called “A Fairy Field Guide,” to monochromatic watercolor paintings of semi-realistic animals wearing colorful animated boots, shoes, or ties, he strives for his work to elicit a smile or a feeling of the magical.
