LAURA PALAU is a Raleigh-based artist and color enthusiast. She describes her mind as a “happy place,” and her acrylic paintings are inspired by the bursts of joy she gets from bright, bold, rich color. Her work often incorporates glass gems, metallics, gold leaf, and thin layers of resin, for playful shine and gloss.
Palau was raised in Maryland by Colombian parents, and prior to Raleigh, she spent 16 years in New York City, Los Angeles, and Bogotá. She nurtures her soul through painting, music, home styling projects, and meaningful time with friends, family, and her dog, Fiorello.
