CHRISTY IANNELLI is an encaustic artist known as ‘Ditzen’ who has lived in Raleigh for 11 years. After studying fine art at High Point University, she moved to Philadelphia to work as a photographer and graphic designer and continued her studies at the University of the Arts. Through the years she has worked as a family and freelance photographer while also working with collage and acrylic painting. Blending her love of painting and photography, Christy now incorporates her photographic images in to her encaustic work giving the images an abstract, ethereal, sometimes moody aesthetic.
