Pete Borsay Header

PETE BORSAY is a teaching artist and printmaker working in Raleigh, NC. His colorful and dynamic compositions are reminiscent of the “post-painterly abstraction” art movement with the work meant to be observed as non- or semi-representational moments appearing in consciousness. The artist focuses on the process of making and being deeply involved with advancing new techniques or combining different art methods. He insists that there is a certain sense of satisfaction working with paper, ink, and a matrix. Recent explorations with chine collé techniques and combining digital and traditional printmaking methods has resulted in an inspiring new series of prints. The artist is motivated by the art and ideas of Frank Stella, Ram Das, and Arthur P. Dowling.
