Artist Membership – $75
Artspace artist members work together with Artspace to promote the growth of the individual artist, provide an environment of interaction with other artists and with the public, and to foster the mission of Artspace. Artspace believes in supporting the careers and development of artists by providing:
- An open studio environment with the opportunity to engage with other artists and the public.
- Access to a network of artists from across North Carolina.
- A connection to the community through exhibitions, teaching, and speaking opportunities.
- Professional development through workshops and classes.
Creative Space
Artspace has 30 artist studios in our historic building in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Applications for studio artists are accepted annually in the spring and are open to members and non-members. Non-members will be required to become an Artspace artist member before they move into the building. No commission is taken sales within studios.

Exhibition Space
Artist members enjoy reduced or free entry fees for select calls and a reduced commission of 30% on exhibition and gift shop sales.

Opportunities
- Paid teaching opportunities for youth & adult art classes and workshops.
- Opportunity to present demonstrations and sell work at First Fridays and other public events.
- Opportunity to learn how to curate, organize, and install exhibitions.

- Invitation to members only programming, discussions, and networking events.

- Priority registration and discounted member pricing on classes and workshops.
Promote
- Member artists will be listed in the artist directory on Artspace’s website.
- Listing can include a link to the artist’s website, a short bio or statement, and up to three images.
- Studio artists will be listed on the large screen display in the building lobby.
- Full-color exhibition brochures will be created for exhibitions in Galleries One & Two.
- Artspace will create and distribute press releases or media alerts for events and exhibitions organized by Artspace, including artist exhibitions in Galleries One & Two.
- Artists may submit material to be promoted through Artspace’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest (Artspace will determine appropriateness of material and schedule of posting).
