Regional Emerging Artist in Residence Prospectus

Please join us in welcoming Pete Sack as the new Regional Emerging Artist-in-Residence. Sack will begin his residency the second week of January, and will continue working in Studio 108 through early July 2010. The next deadline is October 1, 2010 for a January - July 2011 residency. Interested applicants may view the prospectus for this residency.

Sack will continue working on his paintings combining watercolor and oil. Sack is interested in creating new narratives from existing photographs, drawing on yearbook imagery, magazines, old baseball photos, and more.

Sack earned his Bachelors of Art in Painting in 1998 from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. His work has been exhibited throughout Raleigh, including at Glance Gallery, Litmus Gallery, the Morning Times, and most recently at the Carborro Art Center. Sack is represented by The Mahler Gallery, Raleigh, NC.
