Roxanne Lorch is an award winning fine artist who exhibits in various media. She specializes in pastel portraits of people and animals plus plein air pen, ink, and watercolor paintings of the urban environment. Expressive line quality is inherent in her work, stemming from a graphics and commercial interior design career, and she prefers to paint from life. Her art has appeared in juried shows steadily since 2007 in both New York City and North Carolina and she relocated to the Triangle from her native Manhattan in 2010.

Roxanne received a BFA from Boston University College of Fine Arts and did graduate work in Manhattan. She is a lifetime member of the Art Sudents’ League of New York. Past secretary and current member of the Pastel Society of North Carolina, Fine Arts League of Cary (FALC), Paint NC, International Urban Sketchers Group, and the honorary Pastel Society of America, her studio is located in Durham’s Golden Belt Complex, at 807 East Main Street. Currently representing her is Bull City Art and Frame Company in Durham.
