Keane Wainscott is a visual and performing artist. Wainscott’s work incorporates a variety of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. Wainscott studied fashion design with a specialization in art, at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Wainscott has worked on the design teams of women’s wear designers Liz Claiborne, Dana Buchman, and haute couture designer Peggy Jennings.
Following a career in the fashion industry, Wainscott immersed herself in art making and raising a family.
Wainscott’s current work, The Prima Materia Project, part performance art, part sculptural installation, will be featured at the 2016 Asheville Fringe Arts Festival in Asheville, North Carolina.
Wainscott’s work has been shown in New York, Los Angeles, Florida, and North Carolina.
