Crane has worked as a professional artist for over 30 years, and has been an active member of Artspace since 1987. Originally from California, she graduated from UC San Francisco. She has since studied with many nationally renowned painters. Believing that art is a life long journey, she continues to study, experiment, and grow in her work. She has moved from watercolor to pastels and now concentrates on oil painting. She paints in a manner that encourages the viewer to see the subject as the eye sees a scene, not in photographic focus, but with atmosphere and depth of field.
Her works are held in numerous corporate and private collections including SAS institute, Duke University, and UNC hospital. She shares her talents by teaching both studio and plein air workshops and has made a successful teaching DVD.
