Jenn Hales has loved drawing animals and plants ever since she was a little kid. Often, her Mom would find her out in the yard sketching flowers or studying bumble-bees. But-as she’s grown older-her delight has been tempered by worry- as she watches humans infringing further and further upon the natural world.
In her art, Hales explores the tension between human and animal worlds as well as dialogue between species. She tries to evoke the way she saw the world as a child while tackling concepts like loss of habitat and human effects on the planet.
