Artspace offers a unique facility for small and large events, workshops, and meetings. The building houses 30 artist studios, three exhibition galleries, one education room, and a three-story lobby with a winding staircase. For your privacy and pleasure, Artspace allows only one event in the building at a time.
Parties and receptions must begin after 6:00pm, Tuesdays-Saturdays (set up allowed in the afternoon), or may begin anytime Sundays or Mondays. Meetings, conferences, and corporate receptions may be held any day during regular business hours or evenings.
We will gladly work with the caterer, musicians, and event planner of your choice. Alcoholic beverages may be served. (A state ABC permit may be required.) Bands and DJ’s are permitted. Smoking is prohibited in the Artspace building.
Artspace is accessible to people with disabilities.
Artspace reserves the right to refuse rental to any group or individual.

Gallery 2 is our largest space, and is perfect for wedding receptions, parties, and corporate events. During most of the year an art exhibition will be displayed on the walls of Gallery 2. The room is 33′ x 37′ but your event can be expanded by utilizing the lovely, expansive hallway outside of the Gallery. Gallery 2 can accommodate 100 guests seated at tables, or up to 300 guests for a buffet-style event. The Artspace Lobby can be added to your rental of Gallery 2 for the evening if your event is amenable to guests being on two separate floors. Wedding ceremonies are often held in the Lobby before the reception in Gallery 2.
The three-story high lobby is a unique space for fundraisers, smaller receptions, and small wedding ceremonies. It accommodates up to 100 guests (50 seated). In our Lobby space, you and your guests are surrounded by colorful and interesting artwork.
The Education Room is 40′ x 25′ and can accommodate up to 75 guests (50 seated at tables). This is a utilitarian space, perfect for meetings and informal gatherings. The Education Room is not available mid-June through late August.
Studio 208 is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by elevator and stairs. The room is an L shape with an entry space measuring approximately 8.5’ x 14’ and a rear area measuring approximately 16’ x 21’. The rear area is a private space that cannot be seen from the hallway and features a built in counter, a sink, and large windows. Studio 208 is great for bridal parties looking for a space to get ready, or as a private retreat for the bride and groom. The space can also be used for small corporate meetings or workshops.
Entire Artspace Building
The entire Artspace building is available (excluding artist studios) for large events. It can accommodate up to 500 guests. Such events must be amenable to the guests being on two separate floors.

Gallery Two: $1000/Evening (Limited Availability Mid June through Mid August – Call for Info)
Lobby alone: $1000/Evening (If Gallery Two also rented – $400/Evening)
Education Room: $200/per event hour (3 hour minimum)
Studio 208 alone: $100/hr (If Gallery Two also rented – $300/Evening)
Entire Artspace Building: $1900/Evening
*Additional fee for having the art exhibitions in the adjacent Gallery 1 and/or the Upfront Gallery open. Please note that no event set-up is allowed in those spaces.
Event Deposit: $500 deposit refunded after the event. Amount subject to change at discretion of Operations and Finance Manager.
Staff Fee: $25/hour – Fee begins at 6pm through post event break-down. On Saturdays and Sundays, fee begins at first arrival.
Artspace Membership: $100 – A current Artspace membership at the $100 level is required in order for individuals and companies to host events at Artspace.

Studio 208 is available for artists looking for a space in downtown Raleigh to teach workshops. Artspace must approve all workshops in advance and priority is given to Artspace artist members. Artspace will provide tables and chairs, but all art supplies and workshop materials must be provided by the artist. For more details please contact Artspace.
Studio 208: $75/hr
Staff Fee: $25/hour – Fee begins at 6pm through post event break-down. On Sundays, fee begins at first arrival. One staff person is required to be present while the building is closed. If the workshop is scheduled during business hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 10am-6pm), the staff fee is waived.
