Rent Facility

Artspace offers a unique facility for small and large events, workshops, and meetings. The building houses 30 artist studios, three exhibition galleries, one education room, and a three-story lobby with a winding staircase. For your privacy and pleasure, Artspace allows only one event in the building at a time.

Parties and receptions must begin after 5:00pm, Tuesdays-Saturdays (set up allowed in the afternoon), or may begin anytime Sundays or Mondays.  Meetings, conferences, and corporate receptions may be held any day during regular business hours or evenings.

We will gladly work with the caterer, musicians, and event planner of your choice.  Alcoholic beverages may be served. (A state ABC permit may be required.) Bands and DJ’s are permitted.  Smoking is prohibited in the Artspace building.

Artspace is accessible to people with disabilities.

Artspace reserves the right to refuse rental to any group or individual.

Gallery 2

Gallery Two (G-2) is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by elevator and stairs.  The room is approx. 37′ x 33′ and has a separate preparation area with a refrigerator and sink. At most times of the year, an art exhibition will be on display on the walls of Gallery Two. Gallery Two accommodates approximately 200 people (100 seated at tables). For parties of 200-300 people, it is recommended that our attractive, expansive hallway adjacent to Gallery Two also be utilized.  Gallery Two is not available from Mid-June through Mid-August.

Studio 206

Studio 206 is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by elevator and stairs. The space can accommodate approx. 30 people seated, and up to 50 people standing. This bright open room includes large windows and a sink. Studio 206 is not available from Mid-June through Mid-August.

Lobby

The Lobby on the 1st floor accommodates approx. 75-100 people, with limited seating.  The lobby is a two-story space full of artwork that is perfect for fundraisers, cocktail parties and small wedding ceremonies. Our small Upfront Gallery is included as part of all lobby rentals, but use may be restricted due to exhibitions.

Gallery One

Gallery One is a large gallery space at the rear of the lobby. This space makes an excellent addition to the lobby and can accommodate approx. 75 people seated and up to 125 standing. Please note, this space is only available as an addition to a lobby rental and use may be restricted due to exhibitions. No food or drink set-up is allowed in Gallery One.

Education Room

The Education Room is located on the 1st floor and is perfect for meetings, classes, or for a caterer prep room.  The room is 40′ x 25′ and has a sink. This room accommodates approximately 50 people. (30 seated at tables.)  The education room is not available from Mid-June through Mid-August.

Entire Artspace Building

The entire Artspace building is available (excluding artist studios) for large events. It can accommodate up to 300 guests. Such events must be amenable to the guests being on two separate floors.

Rates are subject to change without notice, but will not be changed after receipt of event deposit.

Space Rental:

Gallery Two:  $1250

Studio 206: $250

Lobby: $1000 ($500 if rented with Gallery Two)

Gallery One: $300 (available with lobby rental only)

Education Room: $150

Entire Artspace Building:  $2450
*Additional fee for having the art exhibitions in the adjacent Gallery 1 open. Please note that no event set-up is allowed in those spaces.

Additional Fees:

Event Deposit:  $500 deposit refunded after the event.  Amount subject to change at discretion of Operations and Finance Manager.

Staff Fee:  $25/hour – Fee begins at 5pm through post event break-down. On Sundays, fee begins at first arrival.

• Hourly rates available for daytime rentals on select spaces.

Artist Workshops:

The Education Room and Studio 206 are available for artists looking for a space in downtown Raleigh to teach workshops.  Artspace must approve all workshops in advance and priority is given to Artspace artist members. Artspace will provide tables and chairs, but all art supplies and workshop materials must be provided by the artist. For more details please contact Artspace.

Education Room: $50/hr

Studio 206: $70/hr

Staff Fee:  $25/hour – Fee begins at 5pm through post event break-down. On Sundays, fee begins at first arrival. One staff person is required to be present while the building is closed.  If the workshop is scheduled during business hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 11am-5pm), the staff fee is waived.
