Artspace CSA

When you become an Artspace member (or renew your membership) AND purchase a CSA at the same time, the total is $345 (the non-member price for the CSA is $350). So why wouldn’t you go ahead and become a member, save the $5, and support your local art community? Seems like a win-win to us!

How our CSA (Community Supported Art) works:

Artspace is excited to introduce the Artspace CSA, a new way to buy local and support artists! Eight Artspace member artists were selected to participate in our first CSA.  Each of the eight artists received a stipend to produce a series of 50 works of art. The resulting 50 shares of the CSA contain one work of art from each artist; that’s 8 pieces of art in each share!

Join the CSA by becoming a shareholder!

Shareholders will purchase a share for $300 (Artspace member price) or $350 (non-member price) beginning December 4th. Shares will be available for pick up from the Artspace Gift Shop. Each share includes EIGHT unique works of art (one piece from each of our participating artists).

Works represent a range of subjects and mediums from fiber arts and abstract collage to sculpture and traditional oil painting. This is an amazing way to begin your art collection, add to an existing collection, or help someone else start their collection.  The Artspace CSA provides something for everyone!

Selected Artists:

Kenia Brea
Caitlin Cary & Skillet Gilmore
Gabriella Corter
Andie Freeman
Keith Norval
Pati Reis

Shares are available for pick up now! They are limited to a quantity of 50 and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

  • Discover new artists and explore a variety of disciplines
  • Support local artist’s careers and a vibrant community while growing a collection of visual art

The Artspace CSA is modeled on Open Art Society’s 2014 art CSA, featuring work by Artspace members Warren Hicks and Heather Gordon as well as local artists, Tamara Galiano Bagnell, JR Butler, Kimberley Pierce Cartwright, Gracelee Lawrence and Matt Zigler.

Many other communities have engaged in programs similar to the Artspace CSA, but ours is the first of its kind in Raleigh.
