Mixed Media: It’s a Dog’s Life
Grades 3rd-5th

Immortalize man’s best friend by painting a portrait of him or her! In this class we’ll explore different mediums and styles including painting, mixed media, and pencil renderings Realism is not required!  Everyone will take home one large portrait of their dog.

Learning to See and Draw (NEW CLASS!)
Rising 6th-8th grade

Go with the flow. Draw to music. Figure out the mysteries of drawing faces! Experiment with lines, play drawing games: all of these things will help you really SEE as you DRAW! Watch your drawing skills grow right before your eyes!

Paint Your Pet  
Rising 7th-10th grade

Have fun creating a portrait of your favorite pet! Using acrylics, you will paint a large-scale image based on your favorite pet’s most photogenic shot. Please bring a good photo of the pet you wish to paint with you on the first day.

Watercolor Nature Close-ups     
Rising 6th-8th grade

Explore nature through art! Students will learn a variety of watercolor techniques and paint multiple artworks, showcasing the amazing variety of textures and colors that can be found within natural objects. They will then take these patterns, colors and transparencies from nature and learn how to exaggerate them to create abstract paintings.

Mixed Media: The Memory Box (NEW CLASS!) 
Rising 7th-10th grade

Transform your memories into compelling works of mixed media art. Students will learn about the work of Joseph Cornell and create their own memory boxes to “contain” the places, people, travels and experiences of their lives.
