Opposites Attract *

Grades 9-12
Explore the opposite worlds of jigsaw relief printmaking and monoprinting! Jigsaw relief uses linoleum cut up like puzzle pieces, reassembled, and printed. Multi-color prints will be passed through the printing press or printed by hand. Monoprinting will be used to create textures and patterns, for one-of-a-kind prints!

Zines!

Express your unique voice and perspective! Through drawing, collage, and pairing images with text, students will learn to make their own small circulation, self published zine while exploring the history, process, and purpose behind the medium.

Gelli Art *
Instructor: Gretchen Phillips
Grades 9-12
Learn to incorporate Gelli printing into your paintings to make mixed-media artwork full of colors, textures, and patterns. Gelli printing is a versatile type of monoprinting that works with image transfers, stencils, and rolling or wiping away paint to make layered, one of a kind prints.

Handmade Mugs *

Grades 9-12
In this class students will learn introductory clay skills, such as how to make a variety of forms with handbuilding, like pinching, coiling, and slab building. Students will create a mug, representing their individuality through form and thoughtful design.

Weaving from 2D to 3D *

Grades 9-12
Students will learn basic coiling, weaving, and felting techniques while finding inspiration from contemporary fiber artists such as Nick Cave and Sheila Hicks.
Session 4: July 13-17

Intro to Handbuilding *
Instructor: Collin Moody
Grades 9-12
Students will learn how to use clay as an art medium. Exploring basic methods of construction, decoration, and sculptural techniques to create one-of-a-kind ceramics.

Image Transfers*
Instructor: Ana Teresa Galizes
Grades 9-12
Students will learn how to transfer images to different surfaces such as paper, canvas, and wood. Methods and processes covered in this class include packing tape transfers, gel medium transfers, and combining transfers with mixed mediums. Students will create an image transfer postcard, wall hanging, and so much more!

Intro to Figure Drawing

Intro to Printmaking *

Grades 9-12
Are you curious about printmaking techniques? In this sampler class, students will experiment with lithography, monoprinting, and relief. Using safe, water-based inks, students will learn how to print by hand, as well as, using an etching press. A variety of papers will be explored.
