Summer Art Camps for Artists Grades K – 12 / June 15 – August 14, 2020

Morning Classes: 9a – 12p
Lunch: 12 -1p
Afternoon Classes: 1 – 4p
After Hours: 4 – 5:30p (optional)

Join us for Artspace’s 31st year of hands-on summer camps! Students, grades K–12, will learn tricks, tips and techniques from professional artists in fun and creative week-long classes.

Discounted early member registration runs February 1–14 (save an EXTRA 10% on top of your member discount!); open registration starts February 15. Not a member? Join during February at the Family level and get $10 off your membership AND take advantage of our early member registration and discounts.

Classes are $140 members / $155 non-members. After Hours is $25 member/$30 non-members per week.

Registration can be done online, by phone, mail or fax.

Registration

Members can register beginning February 1 and public registration begins February 15. Register online, by phone at 919.821.287, or in person. Paper registration forms can be mailed upon request. Artspace accepts cash (in person only), check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

Mark Your Calendars 

Although you will receive an email confirmation, please be sure to mark the dates and the name of the class on your calendar.

Cost

Week-long Youth classes

Class cost (per class): $140 members // $155 non-members

After Hours

$25 members // $30 non-members

Cancellation + Refunds

If Artspace cancels a class: 

Artspace reserves the right to cancel a class at least eight business days prior to the start date if minimum enrollment is not met. If we cancel a class you will receive a full refund. 

If you cancel enrollment: 

30 or more days prior to the start date, you will receive a full refund of class cost. At least 15 calendar days prior to the start date, you will receive a 50% refund of class cost. No refund will be given for cancellations less than 15 calendar days before the start of any class. 

Drop Off + Pick Up

We require that you bring your child into the Artspace Lobby daily before each class to sign your child in. Drop off for morning classes is 8:30am (no earlier drop off times are available) and 12:30pm for afternoon classes.

We expect you to pick up and sign out your child promptly from their classroom. You will be required to show an ID. Pick up time is 12-12:30pm for morning classes, 4-4:15pm for afternoon classes, and 5:30pm for After Hours.

Location + Parking

All classes take place at Artspace, located at 201 East Davie Street in downtown Raleigh’s City Market area. Free parking on Davie Street may be available and there is ample paid parking in the City Market parking lot at the corner of Martin + Person Streets.

What to Bring + Wear

Wear comfortable shoes + dress for mess!

If you are taking only one class: bring a snack each day. If you are a FULL DAY student: bring 2 snacks and a lunch each day OR or order a lunch from our lunch vendor. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle!

In consideration of our students with peanut allergies, we ask that you NOT bring snacks or lunches with peanuts or peanut products. 

Lunch

Lunch is 12-1pm each day. Staying all day but don’t want to pack a lunch? Select from the nutritious options provided by our lunch vendor. Vegetarian options are available. Lunch is $5.50/day or $27 for the week. 

Please make sure to order your lunch early; lunch orders are due the Monday before your class starts.

After Hours, 4-5:30p

This is a relaxed + fun time daily that includes art activities, games and more. An additional cost of $30 per student for the week applies. ($25 members)

Volunteer

Love kids? Love art? We are looking for responsible people to assist our teaching artists in the classrooms during our Summer Arts Program! There are morning or afternoon (or both) week-long sessions available. Summer Celebration // SAT August 22, 12:30-3p
