Long Pose Figure Study consists of non-instructional sessions geared towards artists who want to work on one extended pose. It enables artists working in wet or dry media the opportunity to complete a figurative work.
Participants are required to bring their own supplies (easels available).
A minimum of 8 pre-registered participants is required for the program to take place. For more information contact Brett Morris, Program Assistant.
Thursday Nights 7-9pm
Cost: $10 members/$12 non-members
Participants should bring their own supplies (easels provided)
Life Drawing is a non-instructional session that includes short gestures with several longer poses. It is held every Thursday evening except during holidays. Participants are encouraged to work in any media (except photography) as long as it does not include noxious fumes. Ring the doorbell to the right of Artspace’s front door for entrance into the building.
The Life Drawing sessions are limited to adults aged 16 and up. However, participants under 16 years of age may attend sessions with a copy of our underage consent form, signed by a parent or legal guardian. Download the form here.
Life Drawing begins promptly at 7pm. Short breaks will be scheduled throughout the session to allow the model time to rest. The first part of class is devoted to short gesture drawings, with poses increasing in length as the session goes on. Life Drawing finishes at 9pm (participants are welcome to leave at any time, but the cost remains the same).
Sessions will be offered in the Spring, Fall and Winter. We will take a hiatus during the summer (June-August) while we host our Summer Arts Program.
