FRESH is an exhibition of new works by North Carolina artists. But with a creative twist!
Join us for a special exhibition and supporting events where you’ll get a behind the scenes peek into what goes into creating an exhibition at Artspace.
See all the submitted artwork during the exhibition preview May 19-30th. Then come back June 3-25th to see the final selections and awards, juried by Marshall N. Price, Nancy Hanks Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University.
All works in the preview and exhibition will be for sale, with proceeds supporting the Artspace Inspiration Fund.
FRESH Look – May 19th, 6 – 8 pm: A pre-jury viewing party for donating artists, sponsors, donors, and Artspace members. Free, invitation only.
FRESH Fun– May 21st, 10am – 1pm: A pre-jury viewing party, free and open to the public. All ages welcome. Family friendly activities, including a building-wide Connect & Create series, will be offered.
All artwork entered into the FRESH exhibition will be on view and available for sale. Artspace’s proceeds from the sales of work will support our scholarship fund, providing the opportunity for up to 56 students to attend week of summer art classes at Artspace!
FRESH Opening – First Friday, June 3rd, 6 – 10pm: Juried show opening, free and open to the public.
FRESH Gameshow- June 16th, 6 – 8pm: Join us for a special event with FRESH juror Marshall N. Price.
Open to artists ages 18+ working in NC in all media. Submissions must be available for sale, less than two years old, and limited in size to 38″ wide x 48″ tall. Artists may submit one piece.
DEADLINE EXTENDED: Applications and all artwork due by May 9, 2016. Artwork may be dropped off May 2-7, 10am-6pm and on May 9, 9am-5pm.
Submission fees: $15 for members, $25 for non-members.

THE APPLICATION PERIOD IS NOW CLOSED
All artwork must be available for sale. Artists will receive 50% commission of sales. Artist may choose to designate all or a portion of art sales to Artspace for a tax-deductible donation.

FRESH Juror and Awards
The exhibition and awards will be juried by Marshall N. Price, Nancy Hanks Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University.
Cash prizes to be awarded for Best In Show ($1,000), Second Place ($500), Third Place ($250), and People’s Choice ($100).
