Nicholson earned a BA in Studio Art from Meredith College, NC, in 1996. She has taken classes and workshops at Penland School of Crafts, NC; Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, TN, and John C. Campbell Folk School, NC. Her work has been exhibited throughout NC, including at Artspace, the Visual Art Exchange, Sizl Gallery, Greensboro Artist League, Rocky Mount Arts Center, Rocky Mount; and the Greenhill Center for North Carolina Art.
