Herrick's work explores architecture as cultural landscape and seeks to find the fingerprints of tradition in contemporary scenes. To create her paintings Herrick transfers pieces of photos onto canvas and fleshes out the images with many layers of different media including graphite, ink, conte crayon, wax, and acrylic glazes. In addition to working as a professional artist Herrick is the Exhibitions Director of Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh.
