Cappel studied fine arts at Briarcliff College, NY; the University of New Mexico; the Art Students League, NY; and the Dayton Museum School, Ohio. Cappell shows her work in her studio at Artspace as well as Broadhurst Gallery, New Elements, Tidewater Gallery, and The Little Art Gallery. She has work in collections nationally as well as internationally.
