…Hello from Carson, our High School Intern!

Blog postThis week I’ve had the great opportunity to intern here, at Artspace, for my high school senior year internship. I’ve done all sorts of things from looking at some of the work of the artists that currently have studios here to having helped organize a huge closet of art supplies in order to help prepare for the summer art classes.

As a boarding student at Saint Mary’s School (which is almost literally two blocks away) and as an artist myself (drawing and the occasional painting and 3D artwork), this week hasn’t been my first time here and it probably won’t be my last time here either. There’s always something to do, people to talk to, and a wide variety of artwork to see, share, and make. Artspace is constantly making sure that there are plenty of art supplies for their classes (just trust me on this one) and that all artwork doesn’t get damaged.

Everyone who works here seems very passionate about what he/she does for Artspace. They seem to be happy to come to work everyday, and they are glad to be in the creative and friendly environment that this place is.
